Changes in the Law

Things have changed dramatically since we were 16, and these materials will answer your questions about:

• Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 licenses, and the steps new drivers take to earn them

• Everything you need to take to the Secretary of State's office with your teenager when he or she applies for a license

• Coaching tips to help you through those hours you'll be riding in the passenger seat-without a brake at your feet or steering wheel in your hands

• Your rights and responsibilities as a parent under GDL

• Setting reasonable limits and expectations for your new driver-your own house rules and tips to help enforce them

Graduated Driver licensing works because it gives student drivers a minimum of 50 hours behind the wheel with a parent, guardian or designated adult driver along to coach them. You are the coach now, and we can help you become a good one.
